The THRIVE Approach

The Thrive approach is a whole school approach to support the mental health and wellbeing of our young people.

Thrive has been around for over 25 years and offers educational settings with training, resources and an award winning online tool to ensure we are able to better understand the needs of our children and young people.

It allows us to support pupils who have experienced trauma, have developmental delay with their social and emotional skills and those who are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing by providing them with personalised targeted interventions with a focus on building secure relationships and having positive experiences.

Thrive helps our children and young people feel safe, secure and ready to learn.

Thrive is the approach St Anthony’s have chosen to support our children and young people with their mental health and wellbeing.

The Thrive approach is embedded school wide and children access the exciting activities in class, in small groups and on a 1-1 basis.

Some of the activities include;

  • Role play
  • Positivity jars
  • Sensory play
  • Creative projects
  • Learning more about themselves
  • Yoga
  • Mindfulness
  • Being outside
  • Making music
  • Journal writing

If you would like any more information on the Thrive Approach, please contact the school office and ask to speak to someone on the Thrive team or take a look at the Thrive website.
